Parks and Rec was an American sitcom starring Amy Poler. The show is almost the same as The Office but, has some of it's differences.
Parks and Rec is about a local government department in Pawnee, Indiana. The plot focuses mostly on Leslie Knope (Amy) but, does go back to other characters sometimes. Leslie is trying to build a new park to help her new found friend Anne Perkins and maintain many other parks as well. I think if you liked the office, you'd like this show because it is so similar to the office with certain shots, comedy, and characters. Throughout the course of the show the plot does thicken when Leslie runs for the board which basically makes the laws and rules in Pawnee. This show is also is full of laughs, jokes and also character romances that develop in the course of the show.
Amy is known for her comedic value and her multiple awards that give more value to the show. Although, the show is no longer running, it still plays on TV and many people still watch it.
I enjoyed this show without a doubt and would recommend it to anyone. I give it a good good!

To be totally honest I have seen one episode of Parks and Rec and the trailer you linked, but the show has always stuck out to me. From someone who hasn’t seen the show it looks funny and like you said totally similar to The Office. The trailer even said it was made by the same people so that makes sense. As for the trailer it didn’t really make me laugh but to be fair that was the first season and I’m sure such a popular show get’s funnier as the series continues. I’ll side with you and most of the people who have seen this show and give it a good good simply because I’ve never heard anything bad about it. In the future when I’m looking for a comedic series to watch I will totally look into Parks and Rec.
ReplyDeleteI have seen some episodes of Parks and Rec and from what I have seen the show is super funny and like you said the plot builds. The actor are perfect for the roles that they were cast in. Amy Poler is the best choice for that role due to her upbeat enthusiasm and natural humor. When comparing it to the office they are similar but i think that Parks is a little more mature in the way of dialogue .The characters have more realistic problems going on in there lives and the general humor reflects that. Leslie Knope is super relatable in that sometimes she ignores the negative things going on and tries to fix things that don’t necessary need to be. I agree with you that it can be classified as good,good because that the storyline is fun and well published.
