Watching Wall-E

We had a sub in class today. We watched Wall-E from where we left off. The mini robot had finally found EVA and the robots brought her to the captain and the main robot Auto. EVA had found the plant that Wall-E had given her and she was supposed to return it to the captain. However, for some odd reason it wasn't there and it was taken out of her. So since she had wasted the captain's time, he sent her for repairs and EVA was understandably angry at Wall-E because she though he was behind it. However the captain had a new found interest in Earth. As they went for repairs, we saw the robots that were no longer working. Once EVA was getting repaired Wall-E was placed in a containment box and saw what looked like EVA getting torn apart. So he rolled into the repair place and took her arm accidentally shooting the safety lock breaking everything binding the broken robots from leaving that area. This then caused Wall-E and EVA to become rogued robots. While being chased EVA tried to put Wall-E in a capsule to send him back to Earth. Then a noise was made causing EVA to bring Wall-E back out. We then see a security robot placing the plant that EVA had into the capsule and made it's destination back to Earth. However, he puts it on a self-destruct sequence and because Wall-E is always doing something, he tries to grab the plant but is then shot out the Axiom before he could say anything. In a race against time EVA sends herself out the ship to chase the capsule. Before it exploded Wall-E found a fire extinguisher and was shown trying to pry the door open. The next scene was an explosion and EVA was heart broken even for a robot. Wall-E then comes blasting out with the fire extinguisher and is flying around in space. EVA started to laugh. They were shown almost 'dancing' in space flying around each other.

  1. Good info in here, Jhordin. As someone who was absent, I can better understand what happened in the film. Wish you would have gone deeper than summary. Consider how this could have shown your analysis of tone and other skills that you were sharpening as we watched Wall-E in class. Don't forget the extension! Part of your blog should connect our classroom learning to the world outside.
