A longtime series of drama that draws in the audience and becomes infatuated with their lives. Grey's Anatomy was created by Shonda Rhimes who has also created shows like Scandal.
Grey's Anatomy focuses on a group of doctors that work at Seattle Grace hospital. The main character, Merideth Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo) struggles to keep relationships with her co-workers; the Chief of Surgery, Richard Webber-- Richard and Merideth's mom had a personal relationship when Merideth was young. Although most original actors are long gone by now, the show still captivates the audience.
The show had started in 2005 and still continues today surpassing their 300th episode in the 14th season. While It was once TV's highest-rated drama (The show was once amongst the top 10 highest rated), the rates have fallen over the course of it's run but, it is still one of TV's highest-rated among the 18-49 demographic and the number 3 drama on broadcast television. The show is also known as the longest primetime scripted show, the second longest primetime scripted ABC show, and the longest primetime scripted medical show.
In 2013, the show was such a success that the main characters of the show were recognized as the highest paid actors in American TV. Grey's, the actors and actresses have also won multiple awards (a good 33 awards).
This show is one of the most well-made shows on ABC and on a be reel scale, it is considered a good-good considering its actors and actresses, the script, the shots, and the lighting.
