Giving Life to the Old - Film Blog (Spoilers)

25 years since it's original release in theaters Jurassic Park has become one of the most iconic movies of its time with stunning visuals, sounds, and amazing acting for all of those involved in the movie it has gone on to have 4 soon to be 5 other movies in the franchise. While those movies can be debated it is mostly undisputed that the Original Jurassic park has been the fan favorite and will possibly remain that way for the years to come and fair warning Spoilers ahead.

Visually the movie is fantastic with both a mix of Practical Animatronic and CGI Dinosaurs it gives life to those who have roamed the earth before mankind even had legs to stand on. This is well used in the movie for whenever there is a close-up shot of one of the T-Rexes or Velociraptors they use the Animatronics to show life-like movement which goes well when rain is bouncing off the head of an animal that makes a 1990s full-size Jeep look small in comparison. Sound wise the movie stands out as well with sounds being used to tell what and where the Dinosaurs are which is particularly helpful if you're tracking Raptors through a rain forest. Also used to build tension throughout the whole movie is the amazing score used, conducted by the Legendary John Williams the score is used multiple times throughout the movie to show the beauty and the dangers of Isla Nubar with the most iconic piece being the main theme. Sound design for the dinosaurs is also spectacular with the T-Rex roar being comprised of multiple different animal roars mixed together and the sounds it makes when attacking the poor Gallimimius is a sound boarded mix of a dog playing with a chew toy. But one of the amazing items about the movie is it's actors who do a spectacular job about showing their own characters as well as making the movie feel authentic which makes you feel for the character the whole time. However this movie does have some blunders in some scenes, like when we first see the T-Rex it walks out of it's enclosure then we see Grant repel down an almost 40ft sheer cliff where the T-Rex apparently walked out of. Another scene that comes to mind is when Raptor is standing in the doorway of the Kitchen, we can see some one's hand come from around the door frame and adjust the Animatronic Raptor to look more up. But however ignoring these facts this movie deserves the rating of Good

Personally I loved this movie and I remember watching it for the first time when I was around 6 and now since I can actually understand whats happening on screen from what is a mature point of view I can say this movie is fantastic and if you haven't seen it you should stop reading this and go see it, like now. I can say wholeheartedly deserves the rating of Good.
