The very successful Warner-bros DC gives an insight look on how Diana Prince (alter ego) becomes Wonder Woman. The Film starts out in Diana Prince's office when she receives a mysterious package from Bruce Wayne (Batman), from there we get a flash back of the heroines past life.
This film was slow moving at first, but then got into the action towards 3/4ths of the movie. It's great that this was the first DC movie with a female heroine, however, I thought it could have been done better. I thought that there was too much slow motion (this movie cliché was so disappointing at the movie's climax). It's obvious they wanted to make this an epic movie, but they could have done it with more action instead of slow motion.
The post apocalyptic World War 2 era setting definitely represents what people were going through with a hint of non-fiction that makes the movie more enticing. I do need to mention that this movie is a wonderful role model for little girls all over the world as well as for boys. This could restructure the social status of "woman being less than men" (lets be real, single-minded people who are stuck in the 19th-20th century mindset do think this @Trump's comments towards women). This restructure could open new opportunities for woman and kids; and let them dream big and shoot for the stars.
Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot) is an amazon women that is destined to destroy her brother Aries, the god of war. This subplot turns into the main plot at the end of the movie when Wonder Women goes face to face with the god. I felt that it was kind of irrelevant and contradicts Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine co-stars as a spy on the German regime and finds out about a deadly gas that could wipe out the human race, but ends up taking his own life in a plane explosion destroying it all)
I think in a year or two, Marvel will come out with a better movie, but for now I think this positive female role model will suffice now.
With all things considered I give this movie a good bad on the be reel scale because of the good message it sends and how it is promoting a female role models. However, the slow motion could been used less and more action in the main plot would have been better.
