Daily Log Blog - 6/5

Today in class we continued to work on our final narratives, screen plays, and films.  We were down in the mac lab and the entire period was dedicated to advancing our projects.  There was no formal lesson so all you missed was in class time to work on your project.  Just as a reminder everything is due Sunday the 10th, prom weekend.  What is due is your narrative, a movie poster, a press release for your project, a cast list, an extended Netflix summary, and your intentions.

Mr. Rivers posted a link to a site that allows you to make movie posters really easy.  However just remember that your movie poster doesn’t need to be super complicated.  Some posters are super complicated like Star Wars: The Last Jedi but there are plenty of posters that aren’t like Deadpool’s.    The main thing is making your movie poster look well done, and simple posters can be just as well done as complicated posters, just look at Deadpool’s poster.

The press release should be 400-500 words and be directed towards the press so that the press can get the word out for your movie.  You should include who the intended audience is for your movie, any famous actors that people might want to see, or anything else exciting about your movie.

The Netflix summary  is about 2 to 4 sentences long  describing your movie and trying to get people to watch it.

When you submit your project you need to post the press release, poster, cast list, and link to your project onto the blog page.  You will also need to post your Netflix summary, intentions, link, poster, and cast list to a slide on the shared slideshow.
