Recording Episode #3 of your Podcast

It is the third marking period, and it is a Friday, which means that today is when the groups will record another episode for their podcast. Mr. Rivers did explain at the beginning of class that each group would have about ten to fifteen minutes to pre-plan on the Pre-Production page. However, each person has to post the link to that Google Doc to the assignment he has on Google Classroom (Podcast 3: Pre-Production here, podcast on slide) in order to get credit. Again, each person must submit the link as your answer to the Google Classroom assignment.

If you were absent today, and didn't get to record with your group, there are two options that Mr. Rivers will give you on Monday to make up the assignment. The first option is to record a small podcast by yourself, and/or with a guest for seven to eight minutes, showing Mr. Rivers your thoughts and opinions on the film. You will post this link to the Podcast 3 assignment on Google Classroom.

The second option is to write a 500-700 word document of your thoughts, opinions and evidence on the film that you didn’t get to bring to your group’s discussion. I was absent on Monday, so I had to make up the same assignment. I chose to write about my film instead of make another podcast talking about it with a friend or family member. For example, in my group, the second podcast episode was based on the film Spaceballs. What I did was I talked about some of my favorite moments in the film, favorite characters, and what Mel Brooks did to make this film funny, at the time that it was released, and how it is still found to be hilarious today. I hope that this helped you if you were absent today, so that you could have a clear understanding of what is to be made up if you miss a day of recording a podcast with your group.
