March 6th, 2017 Daily Log Blog Period 3 Tori Flynn

Hi class! Today, Mr. Rivers welcomed us back after our unexpected four day weekend. He told us today we would be working on our podcasts for Baby Driver (click on Baby Driver to be taken to the assignment). In our groups, until 8:40 we worked together on our Pre-Production and then were assigned a place to go. My group was in the teachers work room on the right side. Rivers' advised us not to start any later than 8:45 so we could have just enough time to record the podcast. My groups objective was to Discuss the effectiveness and the utilization of the music in the movie and how it turns the movie into something more than a bland action movie. We each hit our own objectives perfectly within the 8 minutes and 15 seconds our podcast was. We incorporated different scenes and how each scene used different genres of music to change the mood. Going into the podcast today my group wasn't very confident and we were nervous it wouldn't flow together nicely or it was going to be difficult to accomplish.  In the end, we realized it was not that difficult, The only thing we found was difficult was planning exactly what we wanted to say and incorporate in the short amount of time we had. By creating these podcasts I think is really good for enhancing our people skills. It teaches us how to hold conversations, how to elaborate off  of others points and opinions which is necessary going into college and going into the workforce.
Below are just a few of the scenes my group touched upon in our podcast.
Dodge Charger stealing scene
Joseph feeling the speaker and the music gets louder as well scene
Coffee Run Scene
