Daily Log Blog 3/12

Today in class, Mr. Rivers was absent, but left a video to be watched during class. The subject of the video was our job to do during class today regarding podcasts. The objective was to listen to another group's podcast on Baby Driver, and adhere to the "Speaking and Listening Goals" document on Google Classroom. On the group's particular slide, you are to leave your first name, last initial, goal number, and a comment on the how the group accomplished that goal. If you didn't have headphones, this can be done later, and you should focus on either your Be Reel Blog or podcast reading. The regular movie podcast should commence this week if weather permits, so have your movie watched and your book partially read for Friday.

It is always good to dedicate time to peer reviewing, for it is a vital skill in life. So far this year, we have peer reviewed one another's written pieces, but this is the first time we have critiqued/reviewed each other's audio projects. We now have learned to analyze writings, film, and audio, which is a lot more than we were able to do at the beginning of the year. This in depth analysis is important in all situations, mainly because it helps you understand what you are watching, reading, or listening to better, and improves our communication abilities. It is important that we take our constructive comments and apply them not only to our next podcast, but in life as well!
