First day of Back To The Future

Today we are starting the first day of our new film "Back To The Future". While watching this film we are looking specifically to watch the film with different lenses. Our goal is to apply a different academic lens that identifies a question, problem, solution or connection to academics.
Example; Applying a environmental science lens to Wall-E shows the catastrophic events that may occur if Earth became so pouted it is impossible to sustain life.
As well as that we are looking to make ELA (english language arts) tweets (percise statements) that identify a component of the three act structure and evaluate it.
Example: When the plant is placed in the Space ship heading mankind back to Earth in Wall-E the main culmination is established and the 3rd act tension occurs as Wall-E is crushed.

examples of lens to apply; fashion, engineering, pop culture, math, physics

we watched about the first 20 minutes of the film in class

The film begins with introducing us to our teenage boy protagonist Marty  who after being told by his teacher hanging out with Dr. Brown is all trouble and he will never am mount to anything in life just like his father. tries out in his schools "battle of the bands" and gets rejected. We then see Marty's dad being bullied by his supervisor at work who wrecked their family car that Marty planned on using the next day. Marty's mother announces that he met Marty's father because Marty's grandfather hit him with his car

"jack of all trades, Master of none" is a good way to explain applying lens to these films, Although it is excellent to be a master at evaluating film it is important to also be able to apply different different lens and studies to different forms of media in order to get more out of everything we watch. Evaluating film in only one way makes us miss out on other aspects present in the film.
