In the movie, WallE takes Eva back to his home to save her from the incoming sandstorm. Here she learns more about the earth by looking at some of the objects that WallE has collected. Including his T.V which she found particularly entertaining. Things take a turn for the worse however, WallE shows Eva his plant which she then scans and takes into her body. She then locks up and goes dormant. WallE tries all sorts of things to revive her but nothing is working. Then suddenly the ship that brought Eva to earth returns and takes her back. This causes WallE to jump on the ship and go with it into space. The ship then takes Eva and WallE to the starliner that all the humans are on. Eva is taken all around the ship with WallE following close behind her. This is where we get our first look at the humans. They have all gotten fat and lazy due to being carried around all day on hover chairs. We then meet the captain who gets an alarm that the ship will finally be returning home due to the plant being brought back. However, when Eva is powered on and opened the plant is gone. The captain called a false alarm and everything goes back to normal. This leaves the question, what happened to the plant? Eva and WallE are taken to be cleaned and checked but escape and are labeled rouge robots. This causes all of the security bots to chase after them. They then go to the area where the pods to earth are stored to hide but witness a security bot take the plant and shoot it into space to self-destruct with WallE inside. Thankfully, WallE is ok and he even manages to save the plant. We will continue the movie tomorrow in class

WallE Part 2!!! Dont forget your tone shield!
Today in class we continued to watch the movie WallE. Be sure to have your tone sheet up on your Chromebook so that you can fill out your tone shield. For the shield, we are supposed to list positive and negative things in the past. Then, list positive and negative things for the future. Next, give each time period (Positive and negative) a tone word to match. One example of a positive thing for the future would be the starliners that took all the humans away from the trash cluttered earth. An example of a negative thing of the past is all the garbage filling the earth causing it to be inhabitable. You could even use the tone words found on the sheet on google classroom to give a tone word to the events that happen in your everyday life.

Great summary of our learning in class, Ben. It's tricky during a movie day, but you've got a good sense of it here. Don't forget the extension! Part of your blog should connect our classroom learning to the world outside. That might mean that it only connects to a singular part of the film, but that's okay! Show off the deep dive. Love the title.
