Today in class, since Mr. Rivers was not here we had a bunch of beneficial options we could work on during the time we had. One of the options we could choose was to work on was our Be Reel blogs, which some people in our class felt they should either start or complete. Keeping in mind, there are two Be Reel blogs per marking period, I feel like  it was a smart decision to begin working and getting some ideas flowing about what students wanted to watch.  In the Be Reel blogs, we are required to write a review on the certain show we choose by summarizing it,  and including the objective and subjective qualities in that specific television show or movie. Another choice was to watch a movie or TV show in class to base our Be Reel blog on. A decent amount of students in class today plugged in their headphones in their chromebook or phone and watched their desired film or show on Netflix. The other option was working on our college essays, either perfecting the ones we wrote last year or starting a completely new and fresh this year. Personally, I choose to keep my college essay from last year and further exaggerate on detail and perfect my word choices.  Also, I would like to expand on the variety of my sentence structures and would like to add more rhetorical questions/devices. Our college essays are due Monday so it was helpful to work on them during the duration of class today. The last option was to work on any other work that needed to be completed for any class such as homework or projects.  Little to no students choose this option and decided to dedicate their efforts towards their college essay or their blog post.
What our class did today could relate to the world at large because it taught me how to better manage my time and choose the most important thing to work on in that time. It could also teach me to get my priorities in order and focus on what matters the most. In the future, we will be confronted with decisions and today was a small little practice run for that.

  1. Great details, Jolie. I know it's tough when you're describing a day that was largely independent. As someone who was absent on Friday, THANK YOU for your feedback!

In other news, don't forget about the extension! Remember, that it's 50% of the assignment! I can throw you some credit if you update the post and let me know.
