Although this was all we did, the class should review the notes on mise-en-scene with the elements:
- Dominant feature- what catches your eye the most
- High key lighting, low key lighting, and contrast- types of lighting that makes things stand out
- Shot angle- the angle of shot
- Color values- the type of color in the scene that shows up more.
- Subsidiary features- after the dominant feature, whats next?
- Screen density- the amount of visual information in the scene
- Composition- how a scene is divided
- Depth of Field- how many planes are focused
- Character placement- what space the character is occupying
- Shot framing- is the shot tight or loose?
- Diegetic audio- is the sound's source visible?
- Non-Diegetic audio- is the sound's source not visible?
My group focused these elements towards the shining
This picture uses all of the elements but mostly the color value that makes the person stand out as the dominant feature.
This is what the class had done this week and today. Hope this helps.
Good review of our class materials, and nice inclusion of the picture. Bullets and picture are helpful.
ReplyDeleteNOTE: The test was NOT supposed to be this Friday. You're thinking of next Friday.
