Good evening classmates!
Today in class we continued watching No Country for Old Men and continued our analysis of MES in the film. Remember if you miss a day you can always catch up by watching on Netflix or meeting with Mr. Rivers. We are also still finding ways that MES affect the film and its narrative element. My sentence was ̈ during the scene when Anton (the hit man) breaks into Moss' hotel room the director decided to switch back and forth between scenes of Moss inside the room and Anton trying to break in which creates suspense and fear in the audience as they didn't know how the protagonist was supposed to escape". Tomorow we will continue watching No Country for Old Men and continue our MES analysis

  1. Mike-

Great summary of our class' activities and this would definitely be helpful for students who missed this class. Good details and a really clear explanation of what we watched and how that watching is enhanced by an understanding of mise-en-scene.

As for the second half of the assignment... where is it? Don't forget that the EXTENSION should take what we learned and apply it to the world at large. That might mean discussing some other protagonist who is trying to escape, or how switching back and forth can create suspense and fear. You can make some adjustments and let me know when you have the extension written in. I can throw you a few more points.
