The movie Bird Box, which stars Sandra Bullock, takes you through a whirlwind of emotions while following the trouble her and her children face. As an epidemic takes over the world where anyone who opens their eyes ends up seeing a demon, forcing themselves to commit suicide, ends up destroying mankind as they know it, Malorie and her two children, Girl and Boy, are faced with immense struggles to stay alive. Living life blindfolded from the outside world is hard enough, especially when there are voices forcing you to look into the real world. Although Malorie faced difficult loses such as her sister, many friends she met, and her lover Tom, she is able to persist over the odds to get her and the children to safety. By the end of the movie, Malorie is able to get the kids through a difficult journey, to a safe shelter, and experience a childhood anyone would be able to, before the epidemic had occurred. Overall, the movie Bird Box shows the story of a mom, who is not prepared for motherhood, protecting her children from a mass suicide epidemic. Ultimately, I give this movie 5 stars out of 5 due to the interesting plot, the correct character placement, and the cliffhangers following the entire movie leaving the audience on the edge of their seats, waiting for more details to unfold.
