Today in class, Mr. Rivers talked briefly and then we began continuing to work on out literature review. Mr. Rivers discussed film and the different components of film as we broke it down. By talking about this, it can be helpful for us because we can break down our selected movie and further dissect it into our literature review and eventually our senior paper. 
Mr. Rivers also helped a few individuals around the classroom once we began working individually. Some people in class are not yet certain on what they want to write, including me. I have several ideas in my head however I am not set on anything. I am looking into a few crime movies and likely going to look into psychology within those crimes. There are several movies that have caught my interest within the crime lens but the one that I am leaning toward is A Bronx Tale. I am very interested in the mob and how they had so much power that even the law could not stop them. Everyone knew the mob's power and nobody would cross a line with them. I feel that a psychology lens would fit well along with the crime topic because a psychiatrist could figure out what is going on inside a murderers head and they could figure out what set them off and made them kill a person. There are still many ideas going around through my head and that is the same for many others as well.
Towards the end of the class, Mr. Rivers suggested that we create a To-Do list on how we are going to take the steps to finish out literature review by Monday. Mr. Rivers also originally stated that the literature review should be done by Monday morning however, he has switched that to Monday night to give us a little more time. Our literature review does not have to be our perfect finalized "first part" of our final senior paper. Obviously it will change throughout the research we do but by having a good idea and a solid literate review, that is taking a step in the right direction for the beginning of this assignment.
-Mr. Rivers will not be here tomorrow and we will continue our research in class while he is gone.
