Comedic Classics vs. Blazing Saddles

I decided to keep up with Comedic Classics with their episode of the Mel Brooks classic Blazing Saddles, and while I don't necessarily agree with their opinions on the film, they did a great job breaking down the film. Gina, Josh, and Sean all do a great job breaking down the comedic ploys used during the film, specifically noting the references used to create comedy, which they did not believe aged well. I also liked how they were able to look at the film with a modern lens while also understanding the time that the film was made. They also were much more clear in their speech, but with our next podcast, they should limit the background noise, even though that was a factor they couldn't help that much. Even though I'm personally bummed out that the group didn't like the film that much, I had a great time listening to this episode, and am very excited for their next episode on Monty Python and the Holy Grail!
