Then, we watched a clip from Oh Louie and compared the conventions
Conventions: irrational male rational female, cinematography of house, breaking the fourth wall (self awareness), dramatic irony
Being able to analyze comedy is important because comedic value is very important because it can be used to sway opinions, convey a message or simply get more people interested in your work. Understanding comedy allows us to use it effectively, good comedy causes good emotions and will have a positive effect on audiences. Comedy is also effective in criticizing a person, idea or business. This means by appropriately using comedy we can not only sway audience's opinion but also criticize others in a very effective way.
