Daily Blog: 1/16/18

In today's class, we knew where we’re heading with our literature review. Mr. Rivers reminded us on what we are doing in terms of literature review. He further explained the resources given by Emily and Chris to help use the reciprocal to shape your thinking. (See links below). Lit reviews are very broad so these resources will be the "vessel to hold your discoveries" according to Mr. Rivers so use them to your advantage. Your specific subject is important to your senior paper so do your best to shape your lit review based on your topic. Use the resources and continue the research. He stopped us in the middle of class to realize where we are and how working diligently in class is really important. Our goal is to spread things out so we do not write with panic and have an easier time writing. This Literature Review is due Thursday night before midnight.

These constant reminders to stay on task and get things done early rather than last minute really transfer into our lives beyond high school. In college and the real world there will be no accepting lazy last minute work. It is best to get as much done now rather than waiting too long to get something done. As we continue to work on our senior papers make sure to keep that in mind. So thank you to Mr. Rivers for the constant reminder, because it something that we all need to get into the habit of before college!
