Daily Log Blog - 1/16/18

Today in class we had a discussion about the Literature Review. On the whiteboard, Mr. Rivers wrote a question to ask ourselves regarding the Review's due date, which is "What is your time WORTH?" meaning you should begin to think about how much time you have to finish the Literature Review so you are not rushing at the last minute to get this assignment done. We continued to work on the Literature Review for the remaining time in class. The Review is due on Thursday at midnight. Note that on google classroom Mr. Rivers posted two websites, from RMIT University and the University of Minnesota Duluth, that may be able to help you write your Literature Review. Mr. Rivers also reminded us that our second Be Reel Blog for this marking period is due on January 24th at midnight.

An extension that extends what we learned in class to the world at large is how to think about the time you have to get an assignment done. I have definitely procrastinated big assignments until the last minute and I feel like I'm rushing every time. The way Mr. Rivers explained getting assignments done by putting "What is your time WORTH?" on the whiteboard made it clearer for me. This kind of thinking would extend to the real world because if I procrastinated like I usually do now in college I'm bound to have a stressful and hard time. If I start to think about what my time is worth, however, maybe college will feel a little easier.
