Where's the pulp?

Pulp Fiction, a Drama/Crime film directed by Quentin Tarantino is a film that takes place in the 80's-90's and is a movie that will keep your eyes glued to the screen the whole time. Tarantino is a strong director, and has made many popular films such as Kill Bill and of course his most popular; Pulp Fiction. A little bit of background on the movie is it takes place in many locations, and Tarantino tends to jump around with the plot introducing the audience to a handful of characters who will all be connected to each other later in the film. This allows for the audience to make connections, and makes the movie much more interesting to watch. It creates sub plots that all connect with one another, forming one big plot in the end of the movie. A little bit more specifications on the movie, there are multiple criminals who work under the same crime boss except for two and these two appear at the beginning of the movie. Throughout the movie you see the assignments of the crime boss and where they take the criminals, as well as other tasks besides killing or stealing that make the plot a little more interesting and create tension between all the characters. There is no true main character, but a common fan favorite in the film is Jules Winnifield.

Jules is a character full of energy, yet a character who can also keep his cool in tense situations. He provides the comedic relief in scenes, as well as general comedy throughout the movie overall. On top of this, he is also a spiritual character full of life values, and is constantly reevaluating his life throughout the movie and thinking of the question 'What next?'. His partner, Vincent Vega, is somewhat similar to Jules except a little bit less in every category, and is not considered a spiritual character at all. Straying away from character info, the movie was amazing and it always had me questioning certain things about the plot and characters in it. I could not take my eyes off the screen at all, the movie had me glued to my chair the whole time. It had many tense scenes where you didn't know what to expect in them, and on top of that it had you constantly switching between which characters you like and grow attached to the most. Furthermore, the connection of all of these plots and revisiting scenes in the past that happened before certain events was a genius idea from Tarantino. It allows you to once again take what happened in previous scenes and better understand why things in that scene were the way they were, or why things were so tense, and how everything got there in the first place. While this description may seem a little vague, I tried to stray away from spoilers and make sure that anyone who hasn't seen this movie can enjoy it as much as I did the first time I watched it. This movie was a 9.5/10 and I strongly recommend everyone to see it because of the satisfaction it provides to anyone who watches it. I hope you enjoy watching the film as much as I did.
