Through a social Lens:
-The upperclassmen typically sit closer to the center of the cafeteria while the underclassmen sit on the outside of the cafeteria if they are lucky enough to even have a seat.
-Different groups of friends sit at different tables in the cafeteria and even the nearby tables are generally friends or friendly
-In the cafeteria clubs and teams also generally sit together, the football team generally sits together, band usually sits together, etc.
Through a Political Lens:
The teachers and Principal have power over the students to enforce the rules, they have the power and not the students
More money in the lunch account could equate to more power in the cafeteria
The seniors are allowed to leave if they "don't want the mystery food from the cafeteria" -Mr. Rivers, or if they want to take a nap at home before the second half of their day
-Before this year the freshman ate lunch in the annex gym instead of in the cafeteria with everyone else
Lens notes from the movie today:
Political Lens:
The girlfriend's parents are the bosses of several servants
The parents still have more power than their kids even though the kids are adults
