The movie Now You See Me is a very well made movie that had a fun, interesting idea and was successfully applied. The whole movie is about four magicians that are brought together to commit crimes for the good of the people and right the wrongs that were committed to a magician in the past. The four do not know who has brought them together and are obeying the directions given to them on blind faith. Each one of the main magicians were given tarot cards that told them were to meet up. These tarot cards all have different images and represent each characters traits or rolls in the film. Danny is given the heart which makes sense since he is the heart of the operation and the leader. Merritt is given the hermit cards because he is slightly detached from the group and thinks very highly of himself especially in regards to Danny. Henley is given the high priestess card which reflects the fact that she pushes everyone to keep going and to have faith in the person that brought them together. The last member of the crew, Jack, is given the death card. He doesn’t actually die in the film as this card is more of a foreshadow to what will happen then describing his character. During the film Jack gets into a car chase with the FBI and is involved with what looks like a crash “killing” him. The crash is then revealed to be staged so that Jack can get of the FBI’s radar and do the last heist on his own. These simple easter eggs that were placed right at the beginning of the film were well done and a perfect treat for someone who is really paying attention.

Now You See Me is one of my all time favorite films. I have rewatched it so many times, and everytime I find something new that the director hid. The plot twitch at the end of the movie is well done in my opinion because throughout the whole movie all fingers where pointing the the interpol agent who knew so much about the four horsemen’s magic. The twist was that it was the lead FBI agent who was the “leader” of the four horsemen and was the one who came up with the was for them to rob these places and not get caught. He choose very specific targets because his father was the magician that died, and each company played a role in what happened and the aftermath. Over this movie get a Good, Good rating because of the fantastic story and the special effects that were used to make the magic entertaining and incomparable with help.
