Be Reel: Ballers

            Ballers
Over the break i got HBO now and immediately started watching the show "Ballers". Ballers starred by famous actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Dwayne plays the role of a financial adviser for Anderson sports management and takes care of NFL players money. With this job he gets to meet a lot of famous people that are actually in the NFL. Every episode has a surprise of someone in the NFL whether it is Antonio Brown or Ndamokung Suh coming onto the scene. With all of these famous players acting it takes away from the plot of the show. It constantly changes with The Rock reflecting on his past and then fighting with his present which leaves me confused at times. Also, when the show goes from season to season it completely forgets what happened in the prior one. The plot and story line don't seem to continue from season to season.
Although the plot changes in season 3 things start to connect. Dwayne had a lot of problems with famous hall of famers, but never revealed why. In season 3 he explained everything in just one episode with how he financed some of Eddie George's money and lost all of it killing his chances to become a big financial adviser. After that all the pieces started to come together. The show was also Rated M so there was a lot of nudity, language, drugs and typical rated M things. From that it can give a different appeal to some viewers, but to me it made me want to watch it. All in all i loved this show simply because of the star power that was shown throughout every episode. Antonio Brown, Desean Jackson, Don Shula, Jason Taylor, Terrell Suggs, Giancarlo Stanton, Steph Curry, Sean Payton, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, and Travis Scott are just a few of the stars that came onto the show. Overall great show with great stars just needs to focus on the plot a little more.
