First Daily Log Blog of 2018
Welcome back everyone, hope you had a great break and a happy new year. In the beginning of class today we talked about the final big assignments we have for the rest of 2018 such as the final exam and the final paper we will be taking in June. The Final paper was described to be the biggest grade in the class and how important it was to work on it way before the due date. Also, keep up on the Be reel blogs and make sure that you did one in 2017 and one in 2018 before the end of the 2nd marking period. Make sure you know your dates for the daily log blogs because they are very important. Other assignments were Narrative film project, Podcast community ans senior film brick. Since today was a half day and we did not have much time for activities we read an excerpt called "Making Gay sense of X-men" by William Earnest. All groups read this together and discussed 5 things we examined from this Article. My group found that the author was comparing Homosexuality as similar to being mutant in X-men. In the intro of this excerpt they go over a scene about how the character "came out" as being mutant or Gay in this matter. The class discussed this topic as well as other examinations. One was that this excerpt was 18 pages long and was separated by different sections. Also, that the excerpt had no work cited for all of the quotes . In the end of the excerpt was a numbered list of conclusions. This brought up the conversation of why us students do not use this method in our writing. The only answer was because we never learned to use a numbered list of conclusions before. Tomorrow we will be continuing on the assessment of "Making gay sense of X-Men" so be ready to talk about examinations you have made.Making Gay sense of X-Men
