Daily blog 5/2- Luke Schmitzer
Today in class Mr. Rivers started off by talking about the up and coming project we have due. This project is our final narrative project and how we have our pitch due on Saturday. He referred to yesterday's class where we had a guest speaker, happened to be a professional pitch reader and a former classmate of Mr. Rivers in high school. The purpose of this was to allow us to ask him questions so we can write the best pitches we can. He was talking about stuff he said about how Noah, the guy from yesterday, said "focus on the final product." By that he means don't only look at the pitch look at the entire product and know what it is and your goal for the product. We then went on to talk about the project after the pitch. The project is supposed to be all writings based or all movie based so it mean we either write a screen play or make a movie. We listened to an example of a play write that was about two orphaned siblings. One of the siblings did a reckless thing that had him end up in a holding cell and the other sibling was mad at him for doing such actions that could put his life in danger. We then spoke about how the screen play was written and then Mr. Rivers left us to continue to work on our pitches. My partner and I are doing the project based on Neds declassified.
