Hello class,
Today in class we had a shortened period but we did a lot of things in that short 30 minute period. It began with Mrs.Allison, a guidance counselor at our school, showing us how to complete our graduation survey on naviance. This survey is a requirement and if you don’t do it you will not be graduationing. Secondly, she gave us a few pieces of paper for senior class scholarships. These scholarships are worth $1,000 and we vote for which seniors we think are worthy of winning.if you didn’t get a form or you weren’t in class you should stop down by guidance on Monday. After Mrs.Allison left, Mr.Rivers gave us another scholarship paper, also for $1,000. We also vote on our fellow seniors for this one and after that we got back into our regular class. Mr.Rivers showed us a query letter that someone sent to Noah that was awful and described to us how to never write something like that. The letter is posted on google classroom, so feel free to check it out before you complete your quarry letter. After that, we all individually began working on our query letters. As you know the query letters are due on Saturday night at midnight so make sure to get them turned in!
I believe our own school having scholarships for us is great for anyone attending college. College is a very costly venture and one that most people can’t afford. By having these scholarships college is till very expensive but it makes the price a little bit more reasonable for the average student. It’s never a good idea to take out a lot of student loans because not only will you start your life in debt but you will have that debt for more than half your life. A lot of students don’t think about this before attending college and they should because it can see the stage for how the rest of your adult life will go.
