Today in class we started discussing our blogs and how the were affected by the two day break. If you had your blog set on one of these days, you can change the date and make it up. Next, we talked about our desired deadlines and how we can change them considering we lost two days of class time to work on our project (screenplay or film). We were encouraged to make our deadlines more realistic considering how long of a time span we have to complete this project. It is important to NOT procrastinate on this project since it is one of our major grades. Especially with prom and prom weekend coming, do not make deadlines to be around that time. Keep in mind that editing takes much more time than filming and make sure you leave enough time to edit to your liking. Then after revising and reflecting on our work we split into our groups or worked independently on our screenplays, posters or netflix description(300-500 words).
I could relate what we learned today to the real world because we are planning our work step by step and working on time management. As future college students, we have to learn how to properly manage our work and not wait until the last minute to do a task. Scheduling and managing your time/ work is a major part of indepent living. Without these skills, life would be a world of procrastination and quite frankly stressful. Based on my experience in waiting until the last minute, it causes an enormous amount of pressure and often is not your best work.
