Lately I have been watching the tv series the expanse and it has been an overwhelming surprise. The expanse on syfy has been an overwhelming success both objectively and subjectively. Objectively the special effects our outstanding for this tv series truly the best out there. Also the overall story is quite outstanding for a syfy i wish it could be explained but it is way too complex. The best way to explain the story line is like game of thrones in space. Another redeeming objective thing in this series is the factual accuracy and scientific accuracy such as the idea of no sound in space or very little sound at least, this appeals to most syfy fan. The rotten tomatoes rated this series at a solid 86%. Which shows the shows overall appeal to the audience
Now the subjective qualities there a more positives that I can count. First the battles scenes in this series are the best I have seen in a long time. Another great quality in this film is the character development just like game of thrones the writer develops the characters so that you like them and then they rip them away from you and breaks your will and is a painful redeeming quality of this series. The last great quality of this series is the epic scale of the sires which I enjoy the map of it is amazingly accurate and as new discoveries happen in space the writers add that into their maps.The overwhelming accuracy of the sires makes this a great syfy both for the starter and the die hard fan. My hope is this almost reboots the syfy channel because it is a true winner and gives the fans of syfy what they want. Some other films and tv series I would compare this too would be game of thrones mix with a smaller scale star wars. I would highly recommend this series that's why I say it's a good good the next season is coming out early 2018 so happy watching.
