The Netflix series Stranger Things season 1 was nominated and even won countless Emmy Awards. Following such a good season one was definitely hard for the writers to do but they did quite a good job. Season 2 was definitely not as good as season 1 but it still was a good continuation of the show. The camera angles used in the show play a huge part in the development of the plot and show as well as the colors. For example everything in the Upside Down is dark and gray and ominous looking. This lets the audience make a distinction between the two different dimensions involved in the show. Just the writing in general in the show is extremely creative and original which is part of the reason why it's so good. Not to mention that all of the actors play their parts extremely well even though some of them were totally unknown before the show. Now to talk about the show subjectively. I am a huge fan of this kind of genre of film and shows so when I saw this was coming out I got extremely excited. I also love the fact that it takes place in the 80s because for some reason that makes the whole show one million times better for me. They do a great job on showing the setting with the arcades, cars, pop culture and especially the hair styles some of the characters have. I have to say that I found that they took the easy way out in the ending which really annoyed me because I feel like they’re were so many cool things they could’ve done instead of what they did. I also felt disappointed with Mike’s roll in this season because he literally did nothing. He was sad the entire season because eleven wasn’t around and it really annoyed me. I feel like although this season was good it was nowhere near as good as the first season and it seemed almost like a transition season. I’m still super excited for season 3 because now they have me invested. I would rate the show Good Good because I still love the show and they definitely did a great job at creating it.
This scene shows the difference in colors used between the upside down and the normal world and it has great contrast.
