For one of my bee real blogs this marking period I decided to watch the very popular Netflix original series Stranger Things. I had already watched the first season last year so naturally I was excited for season two. Although I was not sure how they would continue it from season 1 I was very curious to find out. I was also curious to figure out if Stranger Things was a one hit wonder or if they could follow up with an even better second season. It is safe to say that Netflix had quite the challenge on their hands, but the question remained will they be able to fill the big shoes that the first season left them with? After watching the second season it is safe to say they were filled and possibly made bigger. Although I am to sorry to say but I am not going through the entire season, I am just focus on my favorite episode, episode number one. The first episode of the second season is subjectively very enjoyable. From the first scene you are left asking questions due to how it is set up. This is because you are introduced to multiple new characters that you cannot recognize from the first season and are not officially introduced until later in the second season. However, you do recognize a wrist tattoo on one of the characters that has a special power of making people see things that aren't there, similar to eleven from the first season who also had a wrist tattoo. It is also subjectively enjoyable because of the comedic relief throughout the episode caused by the young main characters and their immaturity and nerdyness. The first episode is also objectively made very well. This is especially shown when the kids are in the arcade and all of a sudden Will starts to look around and his real world turns into terrifying upside down, which he was stuck in and still haunts him in season one. All in all I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a binge worthy tv show, it has the tendency to move you to the edge of your seat at the end of the episode and then leave you hanging to fall so you will watch another.
