Be Reel: The Office S7E22

I would like to write about one of everyone's favorites, The Office. With over 120 episodes, I can't pick apart each one, however I chose a very distinct one Season 7 Episode 22 to analyze. This episode is titled "Goodbye Michael", which as you can guess, is the episode Michael Scott leaves the office.

Now, aside from my objective point of view, I believe this episode was so perfectly subjectively written to give a fair goodbye to the main character of the show, Michael Scott. While keeping the film as traditional as any other, while also including a unique twist on the soon-to-be absence of Michael Scott, this episode nails it. It slowly turns from their traditional shenanigans going on in The Office and becomes more emotional as the episode progresses, while still retaining the bland humor the show has been successful for.

So now, the bland humor, which objectively for me is one of the most relatable and enjoyable types of humor for me to watch. However, I can understand if some people do not find it as entertaining due to its very discrete word play, and background knowledge necessary to enjoy. However, as someone who likes to pay attention to the words and storyline, I enjoy this humor very much.

Overall, The Office is a greatly scripted show which offers a wide variety of characters and story lines for everyone to enjoy, while also maintaining an emotional realistic impact on its viewers.
