That 70s Show first episode

Luke Schmitzer

For one of my bee real blogs this marking period I am choosing the analyze an episode from That 70s Show. This is my favorite show and I have watched most episodes more than once I am going to go simple and choose the very first episode. The show is classic seventies considering the group of teenagers hanging out in an unfinished basement, exploring life through a haze of weed, alcohol, and rock and roll. Also one of the characters dad's even has recently gotten a perm, what is more seventies than that. The first episode is subjectively very enjoyable, especially for teens. Teens can relate to this more than anyone because it is their lives now except an example of what it to could be if they grew up in the seventies. Certain parents also enjoy because it reminds them of a time when they were growing up, if they were the group who was born in the time when they would grow up in that decade. The shows best subjective quality is how funny it is, the funniness comes from all the different types of personalities tied up in the show and how the interact with one another. For an example: it is funny to watch four main guy characters interact with each other when they are indulging in a hazy activity because of the stupid things they say and how they respond to what one another says. Objectively the show is not made very well. You can tell that not much effort was put into the structure of the show but this is made up to me in the subjective aspect. Also the special effects are sub par in this show, this is especially shown when Eric is supposed to be high and talking to his parents. Bad special effects is also shown when they are supposedly driving the car out of town, you can tell that they are actually not moving and it's just a green screen moving for them. All in all I would recommend That 70s Show to anyone, especially teens, because of how comedic it is.
