Deadpool 2, directed by David Leitch is not your everyday, family-friendly film. Just for a little background Deadpool (the original) was nominated for a Golden Globes Best Motion Picture, a Saturn Award for Best Actor: Ryan Reynalds, and nominated for best writing for the Saturn awards. Judging from the past success of the original Deadpool film, I had high expectations for the following Deadpool film. So many amazing factors can be named for making this movie so much different, and amazing compared to any other Marvel film made in the past. Unlike any other Marvel film, Deadpool 1 and 2 are comedy films over anything else. Let's dive directly into what makes this movie so outstanding.
To begin, we will discuss a specific choice made by the writers, directors, actors, and more. This being, the side talk to the camera. Deadpool continuously talks to the camera after saying his oneliner, to add emphasis to what he just said or add to the joke itself. My favorite side talk to the camera was when he said what was going on and then insulted the writing of the film. Not many movies have done this and not many writers can pull this off as well as they did.
Moving on to the second choice made to make this movie so amazing. The amount of incongruity comedy is just too good. For example, when his legs get ripped off from the Juggernaut and then the following day he has baby legs instead, was one of the most hilarious scenes the movie contained.
Lastly, the thing that makes the movie so much better than any other movie I have ever watched in my entire existence... is how the writers created a comedy-romance-drama-action movie all in one. I have never seen a movie be able to bring in so many different genres and still make the movie so outstanding.
All in all, Deadpool 2 is a movie I would highly recommend for anyone out there. It was funny, sad, and action-packed. For anyone looking to laugh, and have a great time, Deadpool 2 is for you!
