The Spartan Daily is Back
Co-anchors Samantha Russo and Gianluca Bivona are back on the Spartan Daily, which is set to set to air for its fourth season June 29th. The weekly news show is back recapping the year, and capturing the exhilarating lives of Sparta High School students. The Spartan Daily kicks off the new season with the hot topic of water wars, uncovering classified information from inside sources, and keeping the students of Sparta High School up to date. When breaking news hits it is up to, Samantha and Gianluca to get the inside scoop, and the students to decide if Quinn is the “bad guy” or if the players are overreacting. Quinn becomes questionable when he mentions in his interview that it is really hard for him to make some decisions due to the rules, while finalist Connor Gormley counters his argument and claims that he picks sides as a payment for favors he owes. Was game maker Quinn Van Es really as “tied up” as he claimed, or was he just trying to protect his friends?
This film is hosted by, News Documentary Emmy award winners, Gianluca Bivona and Samantha Russo. The two dig deep by getting quality information right from the primary sources. Interviews Quinn Van Es, who was the maker of the game and was able to deliver all the information about the “inside” operations which made for quality an interview. It was vital to get an interview with Quinn because he was a primary source. Quinn does an excellent job explaining how he made the teams and that he was trying to be as fair as possible. Also starring in the season premiere is water war finalist Connor Gormley. Connor gives a nice thorough explanation of everything that went down and also made how he feels about Quinn, and how ran the game, very clear, while also making fair points as to how Quinn could have been unfair towards his, and possibly other players. Also in the interviews, Connor does a fantastic job countering what Quinn has to say giving room for debate throughout the audience, and leaves the whole school in a quarrel.
This news show creates a community throughout Sparta High School, while also being informative on what is going on within the school. With shows like American Vandal, the team that makes up the Spartan Daily achieves the goal of being informative and effective to keep their viewers happy.
