Mr. Nice Guy - Press Release

With High School coming to an end, Lacrosse season wrapping up, and the Spring Fling just around the corner, it is Ethan Caldwell’s (Woodbridge High School star Football Player, Wrestler, and Lacrosse Player) last chance to make his move on Emma Swanson. It may be a bit difficult, since Ethan doesn’t talk to girls very often since he is so focused on sports. With the help of his best friend and lady’s man Timmy, it might just work. Although, it is a lot easier said than done, especially since Ethan just found out that Emma is moving to Florida this summer for college. This is his last chance, let’s hope he doesn’t let his nerves get to him. With the immaculate display of character development by Brandon Larracuente, we get to see Ethan change as a person throughout this film and become more than just an athlete. Brandon Larracuente, known for popular Netflix TV series 13 Reasons Why expresses great emotion and allows viewers to submerge themselves in his stunning job as Ethan Caldwell. The struggles Ethan has with his Step Father Rick played by Steven Ogg, helps mold him as a person and mature him at a much faster pace. Steven Ogg, known for his appearances on wildly known TV series The Walking Dead, plays the perfect demonic Step Father with a great display of deep horror within his person. Having such a crooked Step Father helps Ethan realize he can't take what he has for granted. Emma Swanson's stunning looks (played by Carlson Young) will have everyone drooling for her, as Ethan chases her throughout his senior year in finding a way to ask her on a date. In this film, the nice guy centers around the theme of the nice guy who struggles to get the girl. This is seen by character development of Ethan as a relatable character as a teenager, and showing his goofy side when it comes to girls. Also through portrayal of the character Timmy (his friend) as a good wingman who makes dumb mistakes, but gives a decent sense of comedic relief when needed in order to help Ethan get the girl. Finally, through built tension when Ethan finds out the Emma is going to be moving away to Florida for college over the summer, it creates a sense of urgency for Ethan. This film is comparable to other teen flicks, such as Riverdale, One Tree Hill, and Jane the Virgin. This movie will overall have the audience on their seats, as they watch Ethan struggle to get the girl before it is too late. Mr. Nice Guy
