[Working Title] Press Release - Ben Schultz - Joseph Maldonado - Chris Vachris

The Rivers Three film, “[Working Title]”, has received a PG-13 movie rating from the Motion Picture Association of America.
[Working Title], written by the writer’s coalition “Rivers Three”, is an astounding journey of adventure and comedy. It follows the three unnamed writers as students working on their first film project. It’s nonsensical, hilarious, and a practice in superiority humor.

The Rivers Three, writers on The Office, Game of Thrones, and Supergirl amongst other projects; carry over their natural knack for humor and action. I urge film teacher’s to get a copy of this movie quick; they’ll be flying off the shelves and it’s a great teaching tool for students. A definite must see and an instant cult classic. I spoke with Dwayne Johnson, who was unable to take part in filming as Bartholomew,
attended the early screening in Los Angeles. “Simply Astounding!” he exclaimed exiting the Theatre. “It was a shame I couldn’t act in this movie. It’s going to pull a lot at the box office opening week.” He finished.
Other stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Colin Farrell had similar feelings.
A Hidden Gem
The most important praise came from well-known film critic Mark Kermode. He compared the movie to the golden years of the Adam Sandler era. “Standard writing and decent cinematography but immensely original humor.” He exclaimed. Kermode, well-versed in the indie film genre, generally provides a widely received opinion with the movies he reviews. This is the utmost appraisal The Rivers Three could have received.
The movie isn’t all just humor as it presents underlying commentary on important issues. From the clash of good and evil, internal moral struggles, and the value of friendship in the modern day, [Working Title] is much more than just a comedy. The story of the friends Pete, Chadwick, and Bartholomew contains your typical three act structure with each presenting its own issues, plots, and motifs that tie in to the overall film in general. From hateful
people, to film students, and comedy fans; this movie is wide ranging in its audience. While this film will certainly be hit for anyone who watches it, the comedic tones and surreal nature are sure to appease fans of psychological thrillers and black comedies. The film’s complexity will also lend itself to older, more seasoned filmgoers. Teenagers who are currently in high school are also very likely to understand and relate to the film’s message and themes. The film depicts the struggles of ordinary life in high school. Issues that seem insurmountable when you are a student such as arguments with friends, trying to get projects done on time, and more are all touched upon in this masterpiece of comedy and drama. The film will be released on June 10th, and is a likely contender for Oscar nomination.
