Rick and Morty is a television show about a kid named Morty and his grandpa named Rick. Morty is just like any other kid in high school except for the fact that his grandpa brings him on extreme adventures throughout the universe. Rick is known for being an alcoholic, genius, and careless scientist who uses his daughter's garage as his personal laboratory. This show is very well known for its humor and how clever it is and it is definitely one of my favorites shows.
The show subjectively is one of my favorite shows I watch. I like it because of how humorous it is. Every single episode I am almost in tears from laughing so hard at all of the jokes. In one of the episodes Rick and Morty needed to escape from people who were chasing them and it was at this point where Rick said this… “A long time ago, I implanted you with a subdermal chip that could call upon your dormant nanobots in your bloodstream to restructure your anatomy and turn you into a car. Concentrate and turn into a car, Morty.” *Morty concentrates really hard* “Nevermind. Here’s a taxi. Get in!” (5 minutes later) A scene was shown with Morty in his classroom and all of a sudden he randomly turned into a car.
This show also has a great objective quality to it. All of the jokes are well thought out and very clever. This is mainly because the directors and actors come from an improv background. This is how the directors create the majority of the script. The type of jokes made in this series is typically absurdist humor which is also known as surreal humor.
I would give this show a: Good, Good rating.

Unfortunately Gibi, I have to disagree with you 100%. I've watched several episodes trying to get into the show as it is quite popular. I've come to the conclusion that there is no clever humor in the show at all. The show originated from a crude flash animation by Justin Roiland, loosely based on Back to the Future called "Doc and Mharti." The premise of that whole short episode is that Mharti must lick Doc's genitals in order to save the world. I feel like that sort of unoriginal crude "humor" translates into the actual show. Each episode is gross and burpy. It may be well animated and produced by someone with a background in comedy but it seems he did not apply those comedy skills to his own show. The show itself is repulsive and overhyped. I certainly see why it's appealing to many but personally I just can't stand how objectively gross the show is.
