Senior Paper talk
Due date is officially February 16th @ 11:59 P.M.
We were given three main objectives within these
Rivers used a comparison of Three Act Structure and our papers, stating that basically our Literature Reviews will serve as our Act 1; introducing our topic, key researchers, and points of view.T he synthesis between our sources that will form the majority of our papers will be our Act 2. In this should also be a "Lock-In", which should establish the main conversation about these papers, which realistically will probably be our thesis statement. We should try and find a way to plan our paper that will maximize synthesis.
Research clusters should be sprinkled in between these sections, making sure that you have enough research and sources for your paper.
Connecting this with the vast world around us, we come to the topic of research and how important and how common it is. Whenever you are addressing a new topic, or even just wanting to learn about a new topic, you conduct research to learn the ins and outs of this particular topic and to become well versed in the subject for fear of looking like an idiot talking about something that they know nothing about. To properly do this research, you should use many credible resources to get a vast knowledge of this topic, especially if you will be writing something like a thesis or a paper of some other variety on that topic, which we will all basically be doing in the near future with our own senior papers
